Winter at the Lake

It is so neat to see Lake Erie in the winter. Keith's parents have shown us video of when Keith was a kid and saw the lake frozen for the first time. He was quite the narrator of how the lake looks like frozen waves and you can walk right out on it. We was impressed as a kid and we are still impressed every time we see it.
Our most recent trip was really a business trip to get our boat to the mechanic before summer. But we took a few minutes in the rip-roaring wind and blistering cold to take a few photos of the view. In these photos, you will see what looks like a sandy beach... that is where the water normally is. The white foam looking parts are literally frozen waves, as if God just stopped them in time... to wait for summer.

  1. That's so cool! I always wondered what it looked like frozen. Why didn't you get in?

  2. Haha!! We had left Columbus when it was 60 degrees, so needless to say we were underdressed for any lake excursions.
